About Lee

leeI am a qualified celebrant, authorised by the Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department.

I am based in the Northern suburbs of Perth, but I perform ceremonies anywhere – and have done many in York and on properties elsewhere in the wheatbelt area, as well as conducting ceremonies all over the Perth area, the Swan Valley, Yanchep, Moore River, Lancelin, Seabird, Mandurah, Rockingham, and Margaret River as well Gnanga Bush Camp, and Harvey… so I am prepared to travel!

Perth and the southwest have some lovely locations for ceremonies that we can discuss when we meet, if you haven’t already chosen one.

I am a warm and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people.

I have been complimented on my attractive speaking voice for years.  I am a member of a choir and have been in the performing arts since primary school.

I am a financial member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants, an organisation that supports its members with forums, workshops and conferences to help make its members be the best that they can be.

I am married to my soul mate! We have been married 27 years and together  31.

We weren’t blessed with our own children in this life, but we have precious nieces and nephews that we love to spoil and take on grand adventures!

I was a vet nurse for 17 years and so our children are of the furry, feathered and finned variety.

I am Canadian born, but have lived here since I was 20, becoming an Aussie when I turned 40.

I find that Australians are amazing, generous, affable people that can laugh at themselves, much like Canucks and I think that’s why Canadians and Aussies get along so well!

I’m a hopeless romantic that loves writing poetry and used to play the ‘Hawaiian Wedding Song’ by Elvis, over and over when I was a young girl, imagining myself getting married on a beach like that. The closest I got to actually doing it – was having the Swan River as the backdrop – and cutting our first wedding cake, while Elvis crooned on the PA.
